The house is located in Mali Iž, one of two small towns on the island of Iž. Parking is 40 m away from the house and is accessible by stairs. The house is located 50 m from the sea and the port and 200 m from the beach. In the nearby port there are also a mini-market (100 m), a restaurant (80 m) and a Buffet (150 m).
In the town of Veli Iž, which is accessible by car in 10 min., a clinic, food stores, butcher, souvenir shop, post office and several restaurants, cafes and pizzerias are located.
The house offers a beautiful view of the sea. It was built in the traditional manner out of stone, which gives it a special charm. As long ago as 1900 it was built by the islands legendary Štamatela, after whom one of the apartments is named. Reconstruction of the house started in 2000 and it is now fully functionally upgraded. It has 3 floors and 5 apartments. Each apartment has a bathroom with a shower, a living room with a kitchen and a terrace with sea view. The apartments are fully equipped with all necessary household utensils and offer all the necessary comfort for a relaxing vacation. Private parking for 3 vehicles is also available. For an extra charge (10 €) you can bring your pets with you.

Nearby you will find many opportunities for recreation and relaxation. The entire island is crisscrossed with bicycle and walking paths that will guide you through unspoilt nature of Dalmatia. In Veli Iž you can find a children's playground and sports facilities which are available all day long. If you are looking for experience in nature, you can walk along the old routes and »mociras« (paths made of stone) and find among othere a small original old Dalmatian Church named Saint Anne.
The climate on the island is mild Mediterranean with an average annual temperature of about 15 ° C.
Iž is known for its tradition of olive growing. On the island about 20,000 olive trees are growing. Out of their fruit the well known olive oil of Iž is produceed.
